Allwyn Selects Vodafone to Power UK National Lottery Bid

A subsidiary of the Sazka Group, Allwyn, has selected Vodafone as their network provider for their proposal to manage the UK’s National Lottery. Allwyn feels Vodafone’s knowledge in fields such as the Internet of Things and 5G will be essential to updating the lottery system.

They stressed the significance of these innovations for improving player protections and introducing fresh elements to stay current with changing consumer desires.

The Chairman of Allwyn’s bid, Sir Keith Mills, declared, “Allwyn, as a member of the Sazka Group, is dedicated to revitalizing lotteries and making them a power for good.” He emphasized their history of reviving struggling lotteries while prioritizing player security, responsible expansion, and optimizing returns for charitable endeavors.

Mills conveyed assurance in Allwyn’s proposal, mentioning their collaboration with Vodafone, Sazka Group’s vast background, and a notable advisory panel. He trusts they are well-situated to provide a convincing and dependable plan for the future of the UK National Lottery.

In August 2020, the UK Gambling Commission initiated the procedure for granting the fourth National Lottery permit. Camelot’s current permit concludes in 2023. The new permit will be effective for a decade.

Vodafone UK’s Business Director, Anne Sheehan, underscored their thirty-year dedication to providing superior connectivity throughout the United Kingdom. She emphasized their comprehensive knowledge of the technologies that power the most advanced and exceptional user encounters. Through their forward-thinking collection of 4G, 5G, Internet of Things, and fixed connectivity offerings, Vodafone is certain of delivering customers across the UK with smooth and reliable experiences spanning applications, digital platforms, and retail environments.
