A subsidiary of the Sazka Group, Allwyn, has selected Vodafone as their network provider for their proposal to manage the UK’s National Lottery. Allwyn feels Vodafone’s knowledge in fields such as the Internet of Things and 5G will be essential to updating the lottery system.
They stressed the significance of these innovations for improving player protections and introducing fresh elements to stay current with changing consumer desires.
The Chairman of Allwyn’s bid, Sir Keith Mills, declared, “Allwyn, as a member of the Sazka Group, is dedicated to revitalizing lotteries and making them a power for good.” He emphasized their history of reviving struggling lotteries while prioritizing player security, responsible expansion, and optimizing returns for charitable endeavors.
Mills conveyed assurance in Allwyn’s proposal, mentioning their collaboration with Vodafone, Sazka Group’s vast background, and a notable advisory panel. He trusts they are well-situated to provide a convincing and dependable plan for the future of the UK National Lottery.
In August 2020, the UK Gambling Commission initiated the procedure for granting the fourth National Lottery permit. Camelot’s current permit concludes in 2023. The new permit will be effective for a decade.
