Stake.com Partners with Nigerian Combat Sports Federation to Elevate Dambe on a Global Stage

The Nigerian Combat Sports Federation (NCSF), an organization committed to advancing the ancient Nigerian martial art of Dambe, has secured a groundbreaking sponsorship agreement with Stake.com, a top platform for online wagering and entertainment. This alliance marks Stake’s initial venture into the African region, although the company already holds a prominent sponsorship role within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), notably a deal with Nigerian-born UFC titleholder Israel Adesanya.

Under the terms of the arrangement, Stake will maintain a substantial brand presence throughout NCSF events. Their emblem will be prominently featured on competitor apparel, the combat arena, and across official NCSF materials. The agreement also grants Stake significant exposure on NCSF’s digital platforms, intertwining their brand with Dambe-related content.

Maxwell Kalu, NCSF’s Chief Executive Officer, conveyed his excitement about the collaboration, stating that it represents a crucial juncture for the expansion of combat sports in Africa. He contends that the partnership will be essential in propelling Dambe onto the world stage, introducing its rich heritage and captivating fighting techniques to a wider viewership. Kalu emphasized the distinctiveness of Dambe, highlighting its deeply ingrained customs and unique methods that differentiate it from other combat sports.

This alliance signifies a major stride for NCSF, demonstrating its expanding influence and the escalating global allure of Dambe. By joining forces with Stake, NCSF aims to utilize the platform’s reach to further popularize the sport and connect with a broader fan base throughout Africa.

Akhil Sarin, the Chief Acquisition Officer at Stake.com, conveyed his excitement regarding the agreement, remarking, “We observe significant promise within the African combative athletics landscape, and AWFC is a truly driven entity spearheading the movement. This collaboration represents a substantial stride for Stake as we broaden our reach into Africa, and it amplifies our standing for backing captivating fighting sports spectacles globally.”
