Armadillo Studios has secured official authorization to conduct business in Ontario!
The studio, headquartered in Miami, was granted approval by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) on May 4th, 2022. This enables Armadillo to provide its gaming products in Canada’s most populous province under a revised regulatory structure intended to prioritize the well-being of players and promote responsible gaming practices.
Ontario presents a substantial market for companies operating in the online gaming sector. In contrast to certain jurisdictions within the US, Ontario has adopted a policy of permitting an unrestricted number of operators to seek licensing, acknowledging the current market dynamics.
“We are enthusiastic about entering the Ontario market under the new regulatory framework,” remarked David Stoveld, Chief Operating Officer of Armadillo Studios. “Canada has consistently placed significant importance on achieving equilibrium between entertainment and safety, encompassing areas such as environmental regulations and alcohol consumption, and I am confident that this principle extends to online gaming.”
Established in 2021, Armadillo Studios focuses on developing games with a distinct American aesthetic. The studio has already launched three well-received slot games and recently entered into a collaborative agreement with Brazilian mixed martial arts athlete Amanda Nunes as they direct their attention towards the Canadian market.
A creator of slot games, Armadillo Studios, is joining forces with EveryMatrix to debut its offerings via the SlotMatrix platform. As a top provider of iGaming content, SlotMatrix features one of the most extensive game collections in the market. This collaboration will bring Armadillo Studios’ titles in front of a vast new player base.
