Catena Media Reports Record-Breaking Q3 2017 Earnings

Catena Media experienced a phenomenal third quarter in 2017, witnessing their earnings surge by an impressive 61% year-over-year. This achievement marked a historic milestone for the organization, surpassing all prior benchmarks.

Their most recent financial disclosure revealed that their income escalated dramatically from €10.73 million in 2016 to an exceptional €17.26 million during the corresponding period in 2017.

The company’s success wasn’t limited to revenue alone. Catena Media also recorded a remarkable 79% upswing in newly acquired depositing clients. Their reach expanded from engaging 56,352 new depositors in Q3 2016 to an astounding 100,741 in 2017.

Their operational profit mirrored this upward trajectory, leaping by 44% from €4.65 million in Q3 2016 to €7.57 million in Q3 2017. Similarly, their EBITDA exhibited a substantial rise, climbing from €4.93 million to €8.81 million.

Henrik Persson Ekdahl, Catena’s acting Chief Executive Officer, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the outcomes. He remarked, “Both casino and sports wagering performed exceptionally well in the third quarter, and we anticipate this expansion to persist into the fourth quarter. Preparations are already underway for the Winter Olympics and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.”

He further stated, “We possess unwavering confidence and excitement about our strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance, and we eagerly embrace the challenges that lie ahead.”

This announcement follows closely on the company’s latest $3.5 million purchase of PokerScout.com, a prominent online poker information and evaluation platform. This tactical maneuver underscores their aspiration to leverage the flourishing online gaming sector, particularly in light of Pennsylvania’s recent authorization of internet-based gambling.

In his concluding statements, Ekdahl detailed the roadmap, noting that Catena Media projects consistent expansion in Pennsylvania, with the goal of being completely functional within the coming year. He emphasized their robust collection of domains, such as PlayUSA.com, PlayPennsylvania.com, and USPoker.com, underscoring that this initiation aligns with Catena Media’s strategic aim of broadening its presence within the United States market.
