From 2017 onward, Choctaw Casinos & Resorts has significantly expanded its footprint within the North Texas sports landscape. They’ve established collaborations with regional teams and groups, demonstrating a full-fledged commitment to the area.
To generate a substantial impact, they’ve enlisted three iconic Texas sports figures: Troy Aikman, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, and Darren Woodson. These are not merely fleeting endorsements; Choctaw secured each of them with four-year agreements, underscoring their determination to become a familiar name in the locality.
“We’re delighted to have these individuals join us,” remarked Janie Dillard, a high-ranking executive at Choctaw. “They are victors, and they flawlessly represent our core values: enjoyment, enthusiasm, and a passion for the sport.”
This strategic maneuver is logical. North Texas constitutes a significant source of patrons for Choctaw, and who better to establish a connection with these potential clients than their local heroes?
Even the athletes are enthusiastic. Troy Aikman himself stated, “Choctaw is undertaking major initiatives, and I’m honored to participate. Being from Oklahoma, I’m familiar with their reputation, and I’m eager to witness our collective achievements.”
The XFLs 2018 victors, the Arlington Renegades, have taken up residence at Choctaw Stadium, the former Globe Life Park and one-time home of the Texas Rangers.
However, Choctaw’s focus extends beyond the gridiron. As the primary backer of the Invited Celebrity Classic, a golf competition graced by the renowned Ernie Els, they’ve become a hub for major sporting events. The venue also serves as a frequent host for the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, AT&T Byron Nelson, Dallas Marathon, Dickies Arena, Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Grandscape, professional bull riding (PBR), and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).
This Oklahoma-based enterprise is deeply invested in North Texas athletics, collaborating with local icons such as Troy Aikman, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, and Darren Woodson, boasting a total of 24 sports partnerships!
Hall of Famer Rodriguez shared, “The synergy with the Rangers felt inherently right.” Dallas Cowboys legend Darren Woodson echoed this sentiment, stating, “My experiences at Choctaw, from guest appearances to enjoying football alongside the fans, have been incredibly enjoyable.” Their collective efforts are transforming Choctaw into the ultimate destination for sports enthusiasts in the Dallas region.
