Codere Online Appoints Borja Fernández to Board Following Alejandro Rodino’s Departure

The Spanish digital gaming firm, Codere Online, recently revealed a shift in its leadership structure. Alejandro Rodino, a Board member since Codere’s merger with DD3 in November 2022, will be departing. Stepping into his role is Borja Fernández, a seasoned leader with over 17 years of expertise across diverse sectors.

Rodino, among the initial four directors chosen by Codere, assumed a greater workload after becoming Co-CEO of the unified group. This ultimately prompted his decision to leave the Board, a move greenlit by Codere’s Board on October 20th.

Fernández’s appointment, taking effect promptly, awaits official confirmation from Codere’s shareholders at their upcoming general assembly. He offers a wealth of knowledge gained from his tenure on the boards of numerous companies involved in private equity, structured finance, and capital markets. He presently holds the position of Managing Partner at Ahorro Corporación Financiera in Madrid, where he oversees private equity and corporate investment banking.

Codere conveyed appreciation for Rodino’s significant contributions throughout his service and extended well wishes for his future pursuits.

Codere Online expresses great excitement in welcoming Mr. Fernandez to their leadership team! As a significant force in internet gaming, Codere Online emerged from the well-established Codere Group back in 2014. Although originating in Spain, they have built a reputation throughout Latin America, with a presence in Italy, Mexico, Colombia, Panama, and reaching as far as Buenos Aires, Argentina.
