Chester and Darlington are the newest organizations to link up with Telford United in a countrywide project honoring amateur soccer. The National Lottery Football Weekends will witness more than 100,000 fortunate supporters offered complimentary admission to games across the nation.
Chester FC commended the National Lottery for its assistance during the global health crisis, which saw non-professional teams receive a much-needed £12.5 million (approximately $16.7 million) to counterbalance lost game-day earnings. The team views this program as a superb method to reciprocate to the organization and express gratitude to lottery participants for aiding non-professional teams in enduring.
Chester will stage their National Lottery Football Weekend match at the Deva Stadium on April 2nd, commencing at 3 PM.
Darlington FC will provide free entry to their contest versus Boston United on March 26th. Head of Operations, David Johnston, stated: “National Lottery participants came to our rescue when we required it most, until spectators could come back to arenas. This is a fantastic way to commemorate that backing – the significance of teams like ours, and to provide individuals a chance to experience the distinctive ambiance of a game at this tier. We are eager to greet people to our field.”
