Azartia Games, the firm behind the Golden Park brand, has been authorized to conduct online wagering in Portugal. They will provide sports betting and games of chance through their website, Goldenpark.pt.
The Portuguese Gaming and Tourism Institute (SRIJ) granted Azartia the licenses. They join other prominent names such as 888, Betway, Bwin, PokerStars, and Betclic.
Casino Solverde also had its license renewed, allowing them to continue offering online sports betting and casino games like slots, blackjack, and roulette.
The online gambling market in Portugal is expanding. In the initial three months of 2023, the total revenue generated from gambling reached €196.4 million, representing a significant increase from the same period last year. Online sports betting constituted the largest portion of this revenue, followed by other online games. Casinos and arcades also generated a considerable amount of income.
The current quarter’s earnings reached $9 million, slightly below the final quarter of 2022, experiencing a decrease of approximately 1.7%. However, when compared to the same period last year, it represents a significant increase, soaring by 22.2%!
