Amaya Changes Name to The Stars Group

The Stars Group, formerly known as Amaya, has announced a name change. This decision, approved by stakeholders, will take effect in August. The company will also relocate its main office to Toronto, Canada.

The shareholders have also voted to make Amaya an Ontario corporation. This move means they will adhere to the regulations outlined in the Business Corporations Act (Ontario). This includes adopting new articles of incorporation.

Finally, the shareholders have re-elected several individuals to the Amaya board. These individuals are: Divyesh Gadhia, Harlan Goodson, Alfred Hurley Jr., David Lazzarto, Peter Murphy, and Mary Turner.

Gadhia will remain as the chairperson of the board, Lazzarato will be the leader of the audit committee, and Hurley will head the corporate governance, nomination, and remuneration committee.

Amaya’s first-quarter earnings increased, and they declared a name change.
