Raketech Partners with Danske Spil to Expand Sports Offerings in Denmark

Raketech has forged a media alliance with Danske Spil, Denmark’s national gaming operator. This collaboration will bolster the expansion of Raketech’s sports offerings in Denmark.

Raketech declared that the accord will bolster its long-term strategy of diversifying revenue sources. The agreement has an initial duration of three years with an option to extend for an additional year.

Danske Spil is Raketech’s second partnership in Denmark. Earlier this year, the group also established a connection with gambling operator Vbet.

Raketech has also formed similar partnerships with other state-owned gambling operators, such as Svenska Spel in Sweden.

“We are thrilled to announce a three-year media partnership with Danske Spil,” said Johan Svensson, acting CEO of Raketech. “It broadens our media offerings while continuing to provide market-leading online resources for the Danish market.

“This partnership is a significant achievement for Raketech in Denmark. It acknowledges the support our products provide to large, successful operators who demand high standards of execution.”

Svensson, who is temporarily leading Raketech, has announced a new media partnership with Danske Spil, Denmark’s state-owned gambling operator.

Svensøn assumed the role of temporary chief executive officer at Realkredit Danmark in January following Oscar Mørbach’s departure.

Mørbach stepped down due to conflicting views on the organization’s strategic path. He had held the CEO position since December 2019, having previously served as chief operating officer.

Svensøn, a founding member of Realkredit Danmark, previously led the company until 2017. He has now returned in a temporary capacity while Realkredit Danmark seeks a permanent replacement.

Expansion in Danish lottery operations fueled revenue growth.

Realkredit Danmark reported annual increases in revenue and net income in its 2023 financial report. This was attributed to growth in its lottery division.

Key highlights include a 1.2% rise in revenue to DKK 5.04 billion (£576.3 million/€675.6 million/$720.2 million). Of this, revenue from the Danish lottery division reached DKK 2.87 billion, a 2.5% increase and a new annual record.

Realkredit Danmark’s pre-tax profit reached DKK 2.35 billion, representing a 6.0% increase. After paying DKK 526.5 million in taxes, the group’s net profit for 2023 was DKK 1.82 billion, a 5.9% year-on-year increase.
