The state of Wyoming is contemplating a new regulation that would permit individuals to wager on sporting events via the internet. This proposed legislation, known as Bill 0225, was brought forth by Representative Tom Walters and Senator Ogden Driskill. It would authorize individuals aged 18 and above to place bets on sports within the boundaries of Wyoming. This proposed law would also establish a controlled market for online sports betting. Operators would be required to pay a $20,000 charge to obtain a permit, which would be valid for a period of 12 months. Following this initial period, they would be obligated to pay an annual renewal fee of $10,000.
